Let’s step away from it all for a moment, not to escape, but to take some time to recharge because, don’t we owe it to ourselves to be our best selves?!
The beautiful Pumula Retreat, will be our creative haven for a weekend. Offering “a dream house with the magic garden” and boasting plenty of living space which all benefit from lots of sunlight.
Surrounding oneself with like-minded people will leave us all rejuvenated and ready to take on those busy lives.
The Creative Retreat will include three art and craft activities (TBC)
There will also be plenty of free time to take in the sights and sounds of the forest and the ocean on our forest walk, as well as take advantage of the paid services offered by the venue, like massage and reiki etc. There are also many adventures in the area outside of the retreat.
Cost per person for twin sharing accommodation:
R4,200 pp – shared bathroom (6 spaces)
R4 500 pp – private & ensuite bathroom (10 spaces)
Single occupancy:
R5,200 pp – shared bathroom (3 spaces)
R5,500 pp – private & ensuite bathroom (5 spaces)

Specific dietary requests which require extra food preparation and purchase will incur an additional cost of R100 to R150 per person per day depending on the dietary requirements.
Included in retreat cost:
2 nights of accommodation
3 vegetarian meals per day, healthy snacks and refreshments
2 art and craft activities and resources required, as well as guided instruction
2 yoga classes
2 hour cooking demonstration (plant based)
1 hour guided forest walk
Secure your spot with a 50% deposit with the balance of payment to be made 14 days before the retreat.
Payment terms are available and instalments will depend on the number of months before the retreat.

I am Priya… wife, mom to 3, daughter, sister, friend.
I am an Internal Control Specialist by day looking at business processes, determining whether compliance is upheld and helping to fill gaps so that compliance prevails.
In the moments after, I am a creative being – exploring and learning how to create wellness through being creative. I suspect that my recent exposure to creativity has certainly boosted my ability to be creative in solutions I offer in the corporate world.
When I was first exposed to beginner painting, I had no confidence that I could create anything that resembled what was being taught! But attended the session nonetheless... sitting in front of a blank canvas left me feeling vulnerable and so aware of my lack of confidence that it took me the longest while to take that paintbrush to the canvas!
But when I did, I literally unleashed a natural creative energy suppressed for the longest time! I found a tool that brought about a consciousness for the finer details around me, details that I've never taken note of before.
This form of exposure to art allowed me a freedom and peace that is difficult to put into words. So difficult, that the only way I could express it, was to paint more and more.
I eventually reached a point where I couldn't contain what I was experiencing and could only share it... everyone from my husband and children to my family, friends and work colleagues.... I wanted to show everyone what an amazing experience they could have.
And all this without needing any experience with paint or even to know what you are doing... But in just placing trust in your ability to create something spectacular!
This is what brought our little family to the doorstep of THE WHITE CANVAS. I am longing to share the little that I know. I am longing to see the awe in the face of a first time painter who has shocked themselves at the creation they see in front of them after only moments earlier claiming that they "are useless at painting". I am longing to learn more.
The White Canvas offers a unique experience in helping others create masterpieces of their own. With step by step guidance, completed beginner pieces are a few brush strokes away. Each session guarantees a completed canvas that the painter will take home as their next conversation piece. Each session leaving the painter craving another amazing experience.
The cancellation/rescheduling policy is as follows:
- More than 30 days prior to arrival: we will keep 10% of your full retreat charge and return the rest
- 15-30 days prior to arrival: we will keep 25% of your full retreat charge and return the rest
- 8-14 days prior to arrival: we will keep 50% of your full retreat charge and return the rest
- Less than 7 days prior to the arrival: we will keep 75% of your full retreat charge and return the rest
